Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchases from Herb Whisperer. This policy explains how refunds, returns, and exchanges are handled for our different product and service categories.

Online Courses

Course enrollment grants you immediate access to digital course content. Because of the nature of digital educational products:

  • Refund window: You may request a full refund within 14 days of enrollment, provided you have completed less than 25% of the course content.
  • After 14 days or 25% completion: Refunds are generally not available, as you have had substantial access to the course materials. We may consider exceptions on a case-by-case basis for documented extenuating circumstances.
  • Payment plans: If you enrolled using a payment plan, you remain responsible for all scheduled payments regardless of whether you continue to access the course. Refund eligibility follows the same 14-day/25% policy based on your initial enrollment date.

Physical Products — Books

Books and printed materials may be returned under the following conditions:

  • Timeframe: Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery.
  • Condition: Items must be in original, unused condition — no writing, highlighting, water damage, or excessive wear.
  • Process: Contact us at [email protected] to initiate a return. We will provide return shipping instructions.
  • Shipping costs: Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer unless the item arrived damaged or was sent in error.
  • Refund method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Physical Products — Seeds

  • Due to the perishable nature of seeds, we do not accept returns on seed orders.
  • If seeds arrive damaged or are not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we will send a replacement or issue a refund.
  • We cannot guarantee germination rates, as growing conditions are outside our control.

Physical Products — Live Plants (Nursery)

  • Live plants are perishable and are not eligible for return.
  • If a plant arrives dead, severely damaged, or materially different from what was ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. We will send a replacement or issue a refund at our discretion.
  • Plants purchased at the Easthampton Farmer’s Market are sold as-is. Please inspect plants before purchasing.
  • We cannot guarantee plant survival after delivery, as growing conditions, climate, and care are outside our control.

Physical Products — Herbs and Tinctures

  • Herbs and tinctures are available only to Professional Herbalist students and are not available for general sale.
  • Due to safety and quality control concerns, herbal products and tinctures are not eligible for return once shipped.
  • If a product arrives damaged, is incorrect, or has a quality issue, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We will send a replacement or issue a refund.

Library Subscriptions

  • Library subscriptions may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
  • Refunds for partial billing periods are not available.
  • If you cancel within the first 7 days of a new subscription with no prior subscription history, you may request a full refund.

Herbal Consultations

  • Cancellation: Consultations may be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge.
  • Late cancellation or no-show: Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend a scheduled session, are not eligible for a refund.
  • Dissatisfaction: If you are unsatisfied with a consultation, contact us within 7 days. We will work with you to find a resolution, which may include a follow-up session or partial refund at our discretion.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If any product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] within the timeframes noted above.
  2. Include your order number and photos showing the issue.
  3. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.
