The Suwen Bingji Qi Yi Baoming Ji (素問病機氣宜保命集) by Liu Wansu, written around 1186, builds on the Huangdi Neijing Suwen to develop Liu’s influential theory that most diseases involve fire and heat. This text established Liu Wansu as the founder of the “Cooling School” of Chinese medicine.
