THOMAS Easely

Thomas Easley, RH (AHG), is a Clinical Herbalist, educator, and founder of the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine. His journey in herbal medicine began in 1996. Since establishing his clinical practice in 2001, Thomas has guided thousands of clients through complex health challenges. His approach emphasizes the vital connections between diet, lifestyle, nature, mental health, community, and physiological function, recognizing that healing emerges from understanding these relationships rather than addressing isolated symptoms. Thomas has developed a distinctive clinical framework that bridges Traditional Western Herbalism, nutritional science, and modern medicine—connecting these seemingly disparate realms through holistic pattern recognition rather than reductionist thinking.

Thomas Easley

In 2010, Thomas founded the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine to share his system. The school has become known for its rigorous clinical training program that teaches students to think critically about herbalism while honoring both traditional wisdom and scientific evidence. As co-author of The Modern Herbal Dispensatory: A Medicine Making Guide and Modern Herbal Medicine, Thomas has helped make herbal knowledge more accessible to practitioners and the public alike. His writing, like his teaching, emphasizes practical application grounded in a sophisticated understanding of how herbs interact with human physiology.
Drawing inspiration from the Eclectic and Physiomedical physicians of the 19th century, Thomas has revitalized these traditions for contemporary healthcare challenges. He combines the results of their century of systematic observations with modern research to create a comprehensive approach to health that respects the complexity of human experience while remaining accessible and practical.

Thomas will be teaching:
