Class 1:
Evolution of the Chinese Materia Medica: An Introduction to the History of Integration of non-Chinese Herbs and How Herbs are Classified inthe Chinese Materia Medica, and a Method for this Integration
Class 2:
Materia Medica: Select herbs from the exterior resolving and heat clearing categories
Class 3:
Materia Medica: Select herbs from the drain dampness and resolve phlegm categories
Class 4:
Materia Medica: Select herbs from the rectify qi and calm the spirit categories
Four classes in the course series for a total of 8 hours. Recordings will be available for all classes. If for any reason you are unable to attend one or more of the live classes, or desire to watch the recording after attending the live session. Registration link below.
Upon completion of this course students will:
- Be familiar with the historical precedent for the use of non-Chinese herbs within the Chinese medical system.
- Understand the evolution of how Chinese herbs have been classified over the last 2000 years.
- Be empowered with a method that will allow you to look at any substance and begin to see it through the eyes of Chinese medicine.
- Be familiar with a small materia medica of non-Chinese, commonly used medicinal plants.
- Be able to apply in a clinical setting, including integration into Chinese formulas; case studies will be presented.
