    There was a study published a number of years ago saying basically the same thing. I think I found it around 2010 in pubmed but I do not remember where the study originated. It was not a new study at the time I found it. It documented that a decoction of cinnamon and another herb (perhaps peony?) had a different chemical signature than the 2 herbs decocted separately then combined. The components were separated using chromatography. The signature of the herbs decocted together showed all the characteristics of the individual herbs plus a unique compound. Sorry, the details are so vague, it’s been awhile….. I posted the research article and link in the old forum before it’s last update and sadly the info has been lost.
