Wuweizi (Schisandra chinensis) SEEDS


Seeds of Schisandra chinensis. The fruit (with the seed) is known as “five flavor berry” and is one of the most important herbs in Asia, particularly Chinese medicine.

Seed prefers a cold/warm/cold/warm cycle for best germination. First soak the seed for 24 hour with warm water, then place in suitable medium for 90 days in a cold area, then place the seeds in a warm environment for 30 days before setting out in the late winter/early spring. This can be done in soil or in moist medium under refrigeration.
